Revenue Share Calculator: What Your Course Platform Takes From Your Fees

Many course and coaching platforms charge a small subscription plus a percentage of every sale, often 5% to 10%. On ₹25 lakh of yearly collections, 10% is ₹2.5 lakh. Enter your numbers to see what your platform keeps, and what a flat plan would cost instead.

Calculate your platform's share

At 10% per sale, your platform keeps ₹2,50,000 of your collections every year.

  • Your current platform₹2,74,999/yr
    ₹24,999 subscription + ₹2,50,000 fees
  • Vacademy Scale₹1,00,000/yr
up to 500 learners, flat, no share of fees

You would keep about ₹1,74,999 a year more, or ₹5.25 lakh over three years, before taxes and payment-gateway charges (which apply on any platform).

Vacademy figure: list price of the smallest LMS plan that covers your learners (rate card 2026-07-v2), excluding 18% GST; annual upfront billing is 15% lower. Add-ons such as the CRM are priced separately.

Which platforms take a share of each sale

Fees on the cheapest plan, as published on each vendor's pricing page in October 2026[1]. Most platforms lower the percentage on more expensive plans; Graphy, for example, charges 10%, 7.5% and 5% on its three plans[2].

How the calculation works

  • Platform share = your yearly collections × the platform's percentage.
  • Current cost = the plan's yearly subscription + the platform share. Presets use published prices[2][3][4]; choose “Other” to enter your own.
  • Vacademy cost = the list price of the smallest Vacademy LMS plan that covers your learners, with no percentage of fees[5].
  • Both sides exclude GST and payment-gateway charges, which you pay whichever platform you use.

A percentage grows with your collections; a flat fee does not. That is why the gap widens as an institute grows, and why a low subscription can still be the more expensive choice.
