Can we use Vacademy referrals alongside an external referral tool?+

Yes, but most customers retire their external tool after 30 days. Vacademy's program already plugs directly into payments, CRM, and Automation, so the integration cost of staying with Rewardful / Voucherify usually isn't worth it.

How is fraud prevented?+

Self-referrals (same email / device / IP), unusual sharing velocity, and repeat-account abuse are auto-flagged. The reviewer queue holds suspicious rewards until approved. You can also require referee KYC / payment-confirmed before reward release.

Can rewards be cash, credit, or something else?+

Yes. Configure reward type per program: cash credit, course unlock, plan upgrade, swag voucher, leaderboard tier, or a mix. You can also issue physical-world rewards via a webhook to your fulfilment partner.

Can we layer coupons on referrals?+

Yes. Stack rules let you combine 'friend gets 20% off' + 'first-time-buyer 10% off' + 'Diwali campaign 5% off' with caps. Or restrict stacking to one coupon per checkout — your choice.

What about taxes on referral payouts?+

Cash credits stay inside Vacademy as wallet balance — no tax until cash-out, then we generate a payout report and TDS-compliant document for India / 1099 for US. We can also integrate with your existing accounting tool via webhook.
