Why teams switch

The status quo is costing your team time and money

Live classes have a 7-minute attention cliff

Studies + analytics from our own customers show learner attention drops sharply after 7 minutes of one-way lecture. Without interaction, the rest of the class is wasted budget.

Re-anchor attention every 5–7 minutes

Kahoot + Mentimeter live in separate tabs

Most teachers use a separate quiz tool for engagement. That means tab-switching mid-class, broken context, and zero integration with the learner's report card or course progress.

Polls + MCQs inside the same workspace

You can't see who's actually with you

Without per-slide signals, the teacher has no idea who understood, who's lost, and who's checked their phone. Intervention is impossible.

Live participation + correctness signal per slide

Inside a live class

Watch a speed-quiz score the cohort in 30 seconds

Live response stream, leaderboard with rank deltas, and per-learner correctness map — all from the same slide.

How a poll runs

From an MCQ in the deck to a graded leaderboard, in seconds

Polls and MCQs are first-class slide types in the Vacademy slide builder. Run them with one click; results stream live to the teacher and the leaderboard.

01

Embed in the deck

Drag a poll, MCQ, multi-select, or speed-quiz slide into your deck — same authoring flow as text/image slides. Configure question, options, correct answer, and timer.

02

Launch with one click

When the slide is presented, the question goes live. Learners answer on phone/laptop/tablet. Live response bars update in real time on the teacher screen.

03

Show + score

Reveal the correct answer; the leaderboard updates with rank changes (+34 for a fast correct answer, +12 for a slow one, 0 for wrong). Speed + accuracy both matter.

04

Report + automate

Every response is logged to the learner's report card. Mis-answered MCQs trigger remedial micro-courses; top performers get next-course upsells.

What's inside

Engagement tools that examiners would approve

Map these to your workflow →

Polls + MCQs + multi-select

Quick polls (opinion / temp check), graded MCQs (single + multi), and short-answer questions — all embedded as first-class slide types.

Speed-quiz mode

Time-boxed questions (10–60 sec) where speed counts. Top performers get bonus points; learners chase the leaderboard. Game-like, but tied to real curriculum.

Real-time leaderboard

Rank updates after every question with delta animation. Hide names (privacy) or show (gamification). Leaderboard persists across the cohort week / month.

Word cloud + sentiment polls

Open-text questions render as a live word cloud. Use for opinion-gathering, recap, brainstorming, or quick sentiment check.

Configurable timer per question

Set 10s for speed quizzes, 90s for thoughtful MCQs, no-timer for open polls. Per-question control without breaking the deck.

Auto-grading + report card push

MCQs auto-grade against the configured correct answer; scores push to learner's report and feed analytics dashboards — no separate quiz tool to reconcile.

What changes in the first week

Engagement metrics that finally move

+47%
Participation

Cohort active-engagement score with polls vs no polls (same teacher, same topic).

−72%
Tool switching

Teachers stop tabbing into Kahoot / Mentimeter / Google Forms mid-class.

3.1×
Replay watch-time

Recordings with embedded interactions get replayed 3× more than passive recordings.

100%
Scores in report card

Every MCQ answer feeds the LMS report card; no manual data export needed.

Wired into the platform

Live data drives the rest of the workflow

Every poll, MCQ, and word-cloud submission is a structured event the Automation Engine can react to — same instant.

Trigger a remedial micro-course for learners who fail 2+ in-class MCQs in a row.

Auto-promote top weekly leaderboard finishers to a private 'top performers' cohort.

Push the leaderboard snapshot to the parent WhatsApp digest at end of class.

Upsell next course to learners with consistent top-quartile rankings.

Coding Bootcamp · 600 learners · weekly speed quiz

We replaced Kahoot with Vacademy's in-class polls overnight. Same gamification, but the scores went straight to our LMS report card — no exports, no reconciliation. Cohort participation jumped from 19% to 64%, and the weekly leaderboard became a real cultural thing — learners now WhatsApp each other their ranks.

Frequently asked

Common questions from buyers

How is this different from Kahoot, Mentimeter, or Slido?+

Three things: (1) polls + MCQs are first-class slide types, not a separate tool that needs tab-switching; (2) scores feed your LMS report card automatically — no exports; (3) the leaderboard persists across the cohort week/month and integrates with course progression rules.

Can learners answer on phone, tablet, and laptop?+

Yes — browser-based on any device. No app install needed. Guests can answer with just an invite code, no Vacademy account required.

What happens if a learner's wifi blinks during a poll?+

Their last response is preserved. When they reconnect, they're either showing the result (if the question has been revealed) or their existing answer (if still live). State is server-side, so reconnects are seamless.

Can we hide the leaderboard for shy / sensitive cohorts?+

Yes. Leaderboard visibility is per-session — hide everyone, show top 5 only with names, or show everyone. You can also enable 'anonymous mode' where ranks are visible but names are masked.

Can polls / MCQs be reused across cohorts?+

Yes. Slide-level reusability — pull any poll or MCQ from your question bank into any deck. Reuse across cohorts, classes, and academic years with one click.
