Do we have to change our live-class platform?+−
No. Auto-Attendance works with Zoom, Google Meet, YouTube Live, and Vacademy's native engage-client. You keep your existing tools; we add the attendance layer on top.
How does the system decide who counts as 'present'?+−
You configure the rules per cohort: minimum dwell time, grace period for late entry, whether camera-on is required, and whether the learner must respond to at least one in-class poll. The default 'present' rule is dwell ≥ 70% of session duration.
Can we use attendance to gate certificates and assessments?+−
Yes. The Automation Engine can release certificates, unlock the next chapter, or open an assessment only when configured attendance thresholds are met — no manual approval needed.
Is the attendance log audit-grade?+−
Every change is versioned with timestamp, source device, and evaluator notes. Logs are immutable and exportable to PDF or CSV. We have customers using these logs for ISO, NEP 2020, and corporate-training compliance.
